The last two weeks have been incredibly busy with completion details plus packing, moving and unpacking! We are functional at the new house but have weeks to go to get things in order. New furniture for the great room will be arriving this month, with the goal to host Thanksgiving for the local family and a few friends.
The final details involved getting our vent hood installed in the kitchen, getting the pantry, garage, and closet systems in place and getting the stone detail finished around the great room and bar arches.
Included are pictures of a lovely sunset from our back deck, the same deck covered in snow after a drop in temperature from 95 to 32 degrees…..in one day! This can happen in October but very rare for early September. It will all be melted in a few days.
We’re getting bids for the basic landscaping we want to have done before winter really sets in. Getting simple fencing completed for the main backyard area is part of that task.
